Dan and Jessie met in the summer of ‘19 - two temporary co-workers working opposite shifts. They shared less than an hour a day together, but on one, not so typical day, something between them, clicked.

After four years of friendship, navigating the likes of covid, relationships and fluctuating mental health - a late night talk about their wildest dreams, opened their eyes to the fact that their dreams were not just similar, they were completely aligned.

Friends laughed. Family raised eyebrows. But talks about travel, freedom and van-life, suddenly didn’t feel like a pipe-dream anymore. Together, they felt realistic and achievable.

And so, following the summer of ‘23, they worked. Long hours, long-distance. Until they could afford a place of their own. Two foster cats followed suit and together the dream of van-life was in reaching distance.

But just three days before Christmas, Dan lost his job. Two months behind on earnings and no payout to recover, Jessie’s pay went towards their survival.

So they left the flat. Re-homed the cats. And moved in with Dan’s family. Van life wasn’t just distant - it seemed unimaginable.

Yet the dream didn’t dwindle. It burned quietly away.

Meet THE CREW

Jessie

Meet Jessie - the “professional” dreamer and occasional trip hazard.

When she’s not off saving turtles in Bali, or rescuing snails from the pavement - you’ll find her capturing the best angles and editing out Dan’s numerous “um’s” from the footage.

That new aesthetic swing in the van? Probably Jessie’s idea. Did she fit it herself? Probably not.

If your plan involves the ocean, the mountains or anything outdoors, she’s in. And she’ll bring the same unfiltered excitement whether it’s a sunset, a stray cat, or both at the same time.

Dan

Meet Dan - our resident “yes man” and chief thrill seeker.

If it involves speed, height, snow, wheels, or a questionable sense of risk - Dan’s already packed.

In fact, he’s already there and already got the t-shirt.

When he’s not under the van planning Marv’s next big upgrade, you’ll probably find him attempting dubious backflips on a BMX, hurtling down a ski slope, or frolicking around a golf course (for “balance,” obviously).

Basically, if it sounds like a good idea at the time, (or not) … Dan’s in.

Marvin

Meet Marv - our trusty adventure van.

Born in 2013, Marv spent his early years racking up miles (and a respectable number of bruises) as a Parcel Force delivery van.

By the mere age of 12, Marv was made redundant and left loitering in a sales yard. That was until Dan & Jessie saw his advert…

Fast forward a year and Marv’s swapped his parcels for new wheels and a fresh interior. These days, he’s all about slow mornings, scenic views and chasing the next big adventure.

A solid upgrade, if you ask him.
